About KPMG
The KPMG Consulting function is a cornerstone of our business. Operating from London, we do work that matters, serving the country with diligence and expertise.
KPMG is one of the world's largest and most respected consultancies. We've supported the UK through times of war and peace, prosperity and recession, political and regulatory upheaval. We've proudly stood beside the institutions and businesses which make the UK what it is.
By encompassing a wide range of disciplines across areas such as Strategy, Forensic, Risk and Regulatory, People and Talent, and Operational and Financial Transformation, we become immersed in our clients' organisations, applying sector knowledge and technology solutions to deliver the best outcomes and get it right first time.
Why Join KPMG as a Programme Assurance Manager?
Leadership & Management:
Manage multiple engagements simultaneously, working under a dedicated Senior Manager and/or Director. Lead and develop junior team members around IPA.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Engage directly with senior stakeholders on the client side (e.g., Programme Directors and CFOs). Clearly describe risks and recommendations from IPA work. Collaborate with internal teams to secure resources, deliver, and sign off work.
Impact, Risk, Accountability & Governance:
Contribute to risk management activities over large, multi-year engagements. Ensure adherence to all KPMG risk processes, especially given the high-risk nature of IPA work.
Responsibilities:
* Understand end-to-end business transformation ERP programmes, including challenges and assurance requirements.
* Comprehend critical workstreams such as PMO, business change, business architecture, testing, data, and transition, leading focused reviews in these areas.
* Identify key risks throughout the programme lifecycle and recommend mitigations to course correct.
* Translate observations into risks with clear impact and practical recommendations.
* Manage multiple IPA activities (stage gates, deep dives) and align with other assurance activities, communicating effectively with internal QA teams using appropriate terminology (e.g., 1st/2nd/3rd line).
Lead junior team members to deliver high-quality outputs under pressure, such as health check reports and stage gate reviews, assessing client readiness for next stages.
