Job Description:
Join an Award-Winning Studio with Project Variety at Every Stage
Grõ Careers is exclusively partnering with a renowned multidisciplinary design practice looking for talented Architects (0–6 years PQE) who thrive in environments offering breadth and depth in residential, mixed-use and cultural projects. This medium-sized practice offers increased exposure to outstanding projects, alongside a senior leadership team whose backgrounds include leading design studios such as Foster & Partners, combining world-class design with a genuine work-life balance.
From inception through to completion, their current portfolio spans a dynamic range: a large early-design residential scheme in a prominent London regeneration area, a high-profile stage 3 development in London's West End, live construction projects at stage 5, and international commissions at early stages.
Whether your passion lies in concept and planning or technical delivery, this studio offers unique flexibility. We’re actively recruiting two roles, with room for individuals who are design-driven, technically-led, or eager to embrace a comprehensive role spanning RIBA Stages 0-7.
Your Role: Shaped by Your Strengths
Depending on your skillset and interests, you may:
* Lead early-stage design: Innovate concepts, deliver compelling planning submissions, and navigate stakeholder presentations on high-quality design projects.
* Drive technical excellence & project delivery: Lead projects post-planning, technical coordination, and construction oversight through to project completion.
* Broaden your skillset: Blend design creativity with technical rigour, working across multiple stages to become a truly versatile architect.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to produce cohesive, design-led projects.
* Leading workshops, meetings, and client presentations tailored to your project stage.
* Preparing high-quality design packages (planning, tender, and construction).
* Actively contributing to sustainable design and construction practices.
* Managing project deadlines and mentoring junior staff where appropriate.
Ideal Candidates Will Offer:
* 0–6 years post-Part 3/ARB registration, with proven UK residential or mixed-use experience on schemes valued £15m+.
* Revit proficiency; familiarity with Revit in live project environments.
* A portfolio demonstrating either conceptual creativity, detailed technical and construction stage expertise, or a balanced blend of both.
* Confidence in navigating UK planning processes and regulatory compliance.
* Excellent communication skills with an ability to articulate design intent clearly and persuasively to diverse stakeholders.
* A collaborative, proactive approach coupled with an eagerness to learn and contribute.
Why Choose This Studio?
* Comprehensive Project Exposure: Expand your experience with access to projects at every RIBA stage, fostering a broad and versatile career.
* Direct Influence & Growth: Close collaboration with leadership and clear progression paths enable rapid professional development.
* Design-Focused Culture: Work within a supportive environment that prioritises design quality, innovation, and sustainable solutions.
* Career Development & Mentorship: Professional training, mentorship opportunities, and ongoing CPD support.
* International Opportunities: Gain valuable experience with projects beyond the UK, enhancing your global architectural perspective.
