Job Description
The Position
To maintain all electrical equipment in good working condition by carrying out necessary repairs & preventive maintenance.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Reports to the Engineer Supervisor regarding daily work progress and work order completion.
2. Works closely with the Engineer Supervisor and peers to carry out preventive maintenance and annual maintenance program.
3. Follows all safety rules and regulations in job, departmental procedures and instructions.
4. Carries out all other tasks assigned to him by his supervisor.
5. Able to read building and electrical drawings.
6. Able to fault find and repair electrical controls and systems.
7. Excellent understanding of electrical installations and systems within modern buildings; TV, CCTV, BMS etc. inclusive of Switchgear, Bus bar risers.
8. Good practical skills capable of the installation and maintenance of Switchgear, Conduit, Trunking FP 2000 etc. to a high standard.
9. Familiar with Planned Preventive Maintenance and Safety programmes.
10. Flexible and a team player, able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.
11. Works closely with peers to assist in their job when requested by the Engineer Supervisor.
12. To attend all departmental meetings and training classes.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
1. Good basic English.
2. Experience and knowledge of modern meeting equipment and set-ups.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Secondary School + Technical College or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
1. Minimum 5 years Electrical installation or maintenance experience, preferably in Industrial – Commercial Projects. Hotels – Hospitals experience.
