The Energy Division at ARM is currently recruiting an experienced Offshore Methods Engineer to join a Global EPC business, established in the Energy sector and Offshore installation.
Job Overview:
* Ensure that all the Methods engineering activities are properly managed, either directly or by subordinate staff, to guarantee the quality of the product based on job requirements.
* Provide assistance to other functions to indicate, agree, and implement the most efficient solutions for the Installation/construction activities.
* Organise and participate in design reviews to define the best installation methodology solutions.
Some of your duties will include:
* Organise and coordinate the activities of the method engineering group assigned, providing technical and administrative guidance to subordinate staff to ensure aims and objectives are effectively achieved.
* Administer the working programme to ensure its implementation in accordance with plans, design, and specifications.
* Be responsible for interpretation, implementation, and improvement of the proposed design solutions.
* Initiate and maintain a filing system, document review, and distribution through subordinate staff.
* Monitor and coordinate all phases of work progress and review procedures, reports, and calculations of subordinate engineers, ensuring that deliverables meet specified requirements.
* Ensure technical coordination with the client, including attendance at interface meetings.
* Coordinate with the technical responsible on board the vessel, providing backup to the installation team and advising vessel management on technical aspects of the job.
* Ensure that all checklists and installation records are completed according to procedures and passed to the QC Coordinator for compilation.
* Attend sites and carry out inspections during onshore preparation to ensure all requirements have been met.
* Participate in critical offshore tasks to ensure their performance according to methodology and ensure relevant feedback and lessons learned.
* Participate in offshore activities with the role of field engineer, when requested, both in the yards and offshore during the vessel operation campaign.
What do you need to succeed?
* Experience working in a similar environment.
* Candidates must have experience in offshore installation projects with a focus on the installation of rigid pipelines.
