Human Resources (Employee Relations Partner)
Certain Advantage is hiring for a Human Resources (Employee Relations Partner). This role is a permanent position with hybrid/remote options.

We're working with a business that has a strong background in the social housing sector, dedicated to addressing the shortage of affordable homes. With plans for growth, they aim to expand their housing stock through strategic development projects and partnerships while focusing on sustainability and enhancing tenant services to create thriving communities.
The Role
This role is for a dynamic HR ER Relations Partner. In this key role, you'll support the business with all aspects of operational employee relations, providing expert advice to leaders on handling employee relations matters with a balance of compliance and commercial focus. You'll independently manage your casework and supervise a People Advisor, ensuring a high standard of service is delivered promptly and accurately. For complex or high-risk cases, you'll escalate to the Employee Relations Lead.
As an HR & Employee Relations Partner, you'll be pivotal in helping leaders manage people issues consistently, using a supportive and restorative approach grounded in our people policies and employment law best practices. This role is ideal for those who thrive as the "go-to" person for employee relations advice and who enjoy building trust-based relationships across all levels of an organisation.
1. Provide guidance to leaders to address conduct, behaviour, and performance issues, aligning with our Resolution Policy.
2. Model and promote restorative practices in every interaction, embodying our organisation's values.
3. Offer legally sound advice that explores options and considers associated risks, supporting leaders at each stage.
4. Track and proactively manage cases using our case management system.
5. Supervise a People Advisor, offering support to boost their knowledge and confidence.
6. Collaborate with Strategic Business Partners in employee relations operational delivery as needed.
7. Work closely with other People teams to ensure a seamless, high-quality service to our internal customers.
8. Help update people policies, procedures, and management tools to reflect best practices and compliance.
9. Coach leaders on employee relations issues and support training initiatives.
10. Stay updated on employment law and case law, applying this knowledge to employee relations and the broader People team.
The Individual
We're looking for people who can show:
* CIPD Level 5 or equivalent required; CIPD Level 7 or related HR Management degree preferred.
* Membership with CIPD (Chartered Membership preferred).
* Proven HR experience with workplace mediation or restorative practices is advantageous.
* Strong knowledge of employment law, ACAS best practices, and case law.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Teams.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to advise effectively.
