Join the Aon Executive benefits team and develop meaningful relationships with clients and plan participants through administration of their supplemental benefit programs.
This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Bloomington, Minnesota office.
Executive Benefits
At Aon, Executive Benefits, we help our clients recruit and retain their top talent. As a Senior Consultant in the healthcare practice, you will help hospitals and health systems serve their communities by leading the administration of their supplemental benefit plans for their highly compensated executives and physicians. Provide service integral to your clients by managing projects with a team of administration and underwriting professionals. Learn from teammates with tenure of 20+ years and former healthcare and human resources executives.
What the day will look like
* Manage and enhance client relationships by providing ongoing administrative services to assigned clients and uncovering future sales opportunities.
* Build trusted relationships with clients through exceptional plan service and expertise on plan design.
* Answer benefit questions from clients and participants and address any concerns.
* Advise new participants entering the plan and work through options upon participant termination.
* Serve as project manager and mentor for colleagues.
* Ensure legal plan documents stay up to date; comply with current regulations.
* Implement new plans as assigned by coordinating with insurance carriers, communicating processes to clients, and educating plan participants on the value of their new benefits.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
* An in-depth knowledge of individual disability insurance, life insurance, and deferred compensation plans.
* Knowledge of the regulatory environment affecting plans and insurance [457(f), 409(a), split dollar regulations, etc.].
* Ability to manage projects through completion.
* Ability to communicate complex information effectively in person and in writing.
* Advanced analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
* Ability to multi-task, to react rapidly and concisely to changing priorities.
* Ability to mentor and develop others through strong leadership skills.
Education
* Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent years of industry experience.
* Life & Health insurance / Series 6 and 63 licenses preferred; will need to obtain within 6 months of hire.

Pay Transparency Laws
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $92,000 to $115,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
