Do you enjoy working holistically to make a difference in peoples lives? Are you keen to use and develop your therapy skills in a complex and developing area? The newly established Post-viral Fatigue service could offer you the opportunity to do just that! This service has been redesigned from two existing multi-disciplinary teams to provide care and support to people with ME/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Long Covid across Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Our patients often experience additional conditions, such as PoTS and persistent pain, so an understanding and experience of working with these symptoms would be valuable. We are keen to use therapies such as acupuncture, yoga and tai chi to enhance treatment where appropriate, and could support you to develop these skills.
We are recruiting a part-time Band 7 Physiotherapist to offer virtual and in-person clinics across multiple sites as required, with the possibility of working virtually from home some of the time. The post is 30 hours/week, to be worked within office hours. We offer flexibility, continual professional development and supervision, as well as a wide range of wellbeing resources and support. If you would like to discuss the role further, please get in touch with Marina Townend, Service Lead, at marina.townend@nhs.net.
