The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Engineering Geologist or Geotechnical Engineer to contribute to teaching on our Earth Science and Engineering Geology programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and support learning across the School portfolio. The role holder will be suitably qualified and confident to teach elements of soil mechanics to postgraduate level. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and expertise (industrial, academic or both) within Engineering Geology, with experience or research interest in the role of Engineering Geology in sustainable construction, soil testing or soil mechanics.
The role will ensure that our diverse student body is provided with excellent training and wellbeing support, preparing them for careers in industry or research. The post-holder will also be expected to make a positive contribution to the highly regarded research and consultancy activities in the School and may wish to play a role in developing our facilities or field sites. We encourage applicants with industrial experience.
