SEN & SEMH Learning Support Assistants Special School Immediate start Full-time & Part-time roles available ASD & SEMH students Primary setting We're working on behalf of a truly brilliant special school based on the outskirts of Newbury and they are looking for SEN & SEMH Learning Support Assistants to join the school for an immediate start. The school have a number of different opportunities due to an increase in student numbers, so this would be a very exciting time to be joining a school like this We have 2 LSA's currently working in long-term posts at the school that are so complimentary of the staff at the school and about how rewarding the work is there. The role The role of LSA revolves heavily around providing 1-1 support to a range of different students in classroom settings. The students can occasionally exhibit challenging behaviour so experience in de-escalating these situations is important. You must be resilient, proactive, positive and have a total commitment to the betterment of these children's lives. Ideally you would have worked in a special school environment before but the school are open to applications from candidates with more of a support work background working with SEMH.
