Location:Pacific Quay, Glasgow. Travel and work at other bases for broadcast support will be required.
Salary: £23,324.37 FTE
As a Broadcast Support Worker, you will provide dedicated, one-to-one support to a neurodivergent professional working at a leading broadcast organisation. Your role will be to facilitate their daily tasks and help them manage their workload effectively in a fast-paced, technical environment.
You will play a key role in supporting their understanding of work instructions, prioritising tasks, managing multiple communication channels, and refining troubleshooting techniques. You will also provide practical assistance, such as note-taking in meetings, breaking down complex projects into manageable steps, and ensuring deadlines are met. Additionally, you will help implement strategies to maintain focus, navigate workplace challenges, and promote well-being.
You will need excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Main Objectives
The postholder will provide workplace support for a disabled personaccording to the Support Worker Record of Tasks (details below). The individual being supported is neurodivergent. They work in Operations Engineering at a broadcast organisation and all support work is done to their instruction.
The postholder should be proficient at using standard software packages (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook etc.). They must also be able to develop a working knowledge of other specialist apps or technical equipment with training or instruction. A high standard of written and spoken English, and good typing skills are essential.
The postholder will also be required to complete routine administrative tasks, including accurately recording details of their working hours, to ensure KPIs are met and our financial reporting is accurate.
A current PVG certificate will be required.
Specific Responsibilities
Provision of facilitation according to the Support Worker Record of Tasks, including:
Broadcast support
* To support the individual’s understanding of the instructions for their work tasks and provide real-time support, such as guiding through checklists or troubleshooting steps.
* To maintain written or visual troubleshooting guides.
* To assist in prioritising workload and interpreting stakeholder queries.
* To provide real-time assistance in managing multiple communication channels.
Admin support
* To support the individual with emails and form filling, and with understanding client policies and benefits.
* To support the individual in meetings by providing notetaking and drafting post-meeting task lists.
* To assist in breaking down complex instructions or large projects into manageable actions, setting reminders and tracking deadlines to ensure they are not missed.
* To provide support in refining troubleshooting techniques and improving workflow processes.
In technical areas
* To support the individual in following safe working practices and carrying out dynamic risk assessments. Also to support their reading and understanding of existing risk assessments and control measures.
Well-being support
* To support the individual in recognising when sensory overload is occurring and implementing strategies to maintain focus.
Ad hoc
* To assist in reflection and learning.
* To support the individual with unfamiliar travel to reduce travel anxiety.
