Senior Planning Consultant The Role We're looking for a talented and driven Senior Planning Consultant to join our growing team. In this role, you'll work across a range of exciting projects-supporting senior colleagues and directors on major developments, while also managing your own portfolio of small to mid-sized planning applications. You'll play a key role in providing strategic advice to clients, preparing high-quality reports and submissions, and helping to guide the direction of planning work within the team. What You'll Be Doing: Supporting senior team members and directors on complex and high-profile projects Managing and delivering small to medium-scale planning applications independently Conducting site research, policy reviews, and development potential appraisals Preparing planning appraisals, reports, applications, and related documentation Engaging with planning officers, statutory consultees, stakeholders, and the public Building strong relationships with clients, collaborators, and consultants Generating creative and practical solutions to planning challenges Taking financial responsibility for your own projects-from inception to completion Staying up to date with planning policy, legislation, and best practice Representing the company at external meetings, events, and presentations About You A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant planning or related discipline 5-10 years of experience in planning-either in the private or public sector Strong knowledge of planning legislation, policy, and application processes Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills A collaborative, problem-solving mindset and a sharp attention to detail Creative thinker with the ability to develop tailored planning strategies Passionate about delivering high-quality work and outstanding client service Why Join Us We offer more than just a job-we offer a chance to grow, contribute, and make a real impact.
