What you will do in your working day
* To deliver a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0-5 years
* To ensure that the nursery is a safe environment for children, staff and others
* To develop partnerships with parents / carers to increase involvement in their child’s development
* To be responsible for any tasks delegated by the Nursery manager, Deputy manger or Room Leader
* To complete all academic aspects of the apprenticeship
* To provide a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors
* To deliver an appropriate play based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables children to make individual progress
* To help ensure the nursery meets Ofsted requirements
* To plan activities which ensure each child is working towards the early learning outcomes
* To ensure records a properly maintained, eg daily registers, accident forms and risk assessments
* To liaise closely with parents / carers, informing them about the nursery and its curriculum
* To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed, in accordance with the nursery’s aims and objectives
The training you will be getting
Level 2 qualification in Early Years Practitioner.
The apprenticeship is based on site at the Briston Community Nursery.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
Further development opportunities in Early Years. Potential to move onto a L3 / L4 apprenticeship.
