The School
This is a vibrant and exceptional two-form entry school in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. It is easily accessible by public transport and seeking to appoint a qualified Primary teacher from March 2024. Responsibilities of a KS2 Teacher:
1. Responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 2, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment.
2. Teach the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children while focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses.
3. Further develop maths ability and introduce fractions, statistics, and geometry.
4. Help children develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories.
5. Keep track of children's progress and report back to parents as needed.
6. Create a positive learning environment that is safe and conducive to learning.
7. Collaborate with school management, teaching staff, and parents to provide quality academic support for KS2 students.
KS2 Teacher Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree or above in Education or a related field.
2. Teaching qualification and QTS.
3. At least 2 years of experience in teaching KS2 students.
4. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
5. Passion for working with children and a commitment to providing high-quality education.
6. Ability to create and present engaging and interactive lesson plans.
7. Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and school staff.
