Community Dental Services CIC are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual for the role of Specialist in Paediatric Dentistry, who identifies with our values as a Social Enterprise and is passionate about providing care for those most at need. This post will be mainly based at our dental clinics at the Mary Potter Health Centre, but there will be some cover required at other sites, as well GA sessions at Queens Medical Centre as required.
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to apply their specialist dental knowledge and skills in the provision of comprehensive oral care for children with complex special needs, including treatment under sedation and general anaesthesia.
The specialist will provide support to the Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry as a deputy lead for the paediatric service. There will be regular opportunities to work alongside the Consultant within a clinic and hospital setting.
This senior clinician will support, advise, teach and train a variety of professional employees including community dentists and dental therapists to ensure the delivery of continued excellent care to our patients.
The post holder must be registered and maintain registration as a dental practitioner with the General Dental Council and must hold CCST in Paediatric Dentistry/inclusion on the specialist list by the time of commencement in the post and must have an active NHS Primary Dental Care Performer Number.
As you will be expected to provide support to all clinics across Nottinghamshire, the ability to visit all bases in the county is essential.
