You will be driving the modernisation of the technology landscape, spearheading the shift to towards service led and user centric design.\n\nThe Role\n\nYou will be responsible for a diverse department of c.200 staff, as well as managing third party suppliers with the aim to deliver DDaT solutions that enhance efficiency and improve user experience.\n\nLeading a department of c.200 staff and third party suppliers - responsible for SLA's, contract management, and budget responsibility.\nCreating long term strategic plans for the transformation of DDaT and ICT structure in line with the organisations goals\nDriving Service Excellence, taking the initiative to gain commitment from stakeholders across the organisation\nManage and plan the iterations of the operating model, ensuring best practices in development, resource planning, financial management and workforce training.\nLead the procurement of new emerging technology solutions in line with business needs. \n\nRequirements\n\nYou will have a proven track record of senior leadership within a DDaT environment - demonstrating your experience of how you have shaped and delivered enterprise wide DDaT transformation.\n\nDemonstrable experience of IT or DDaT Leadership.\nExperience designing and implementing digital service for both internal and external users.\nStrong experience with data management / analytics /science - with the view to leverage data to drive improvements.\nTrack record of leading and delivering business and technology change.\nExceptional communication and influencing skills with the ability to gain buy in from a diverse range of audiences. \n\nReward\n\nAside from working on meaningful projects that positively impact the people of Wales, the successful applicant for this Head of DDaT role will be rewarded with the following:\n\nSalary of up to £80,000\nPotential relocation allowance of up to £8,000 (tax free), in line with NRW's relocation policy.\nCivil service pension scheme (27.9% employer contribution)\nVariety of working patterns\n28 days annual leave (increasing annually to 33 days) PLUS 8 bank holidays\nCPD ranging from practical to further and higher education courses\nWeekly well-being hour\nHealth and well-being benefits and support\nActive & sustainable travel benefits such as Cycle to Work and season ticket loans\nPayment of professional membership fees relevant to your roleYolk Recruitment is the exclusive recruitment partner to Natural Resources Wales and therefore all applications will be managed by the team at Yolk following NRW's own fair and transparent recruitment process
