The Learning Partnership, along with the Executive Headteacher at Dove Bank Primary School, wish to appoint an enthusiastic, positive and hard-working Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team of staff. This role is ideal for those who genuinely have a passion for helping children within a primary setting. This role is temporary, for one year, in the first instance.
What does the role involve?
The main aim of this role is to support our teachers to deliver academic excellence, with professionalism and enthusiasm. Duties will include, but not be limited to:
1. Assisting students with their educational and social development, on an individual and group basis.
2. Providing support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities.
3. Assisting teachers with the maintenance of student records.
4. Building and maintaining successful relationships with pupils, whilst treating them with respect and consideration.
5. Providing expertise to deliver a personalised curriculum for each pupil’s learning.
6. Working together with families and other agencies to ensure every pupil is valued, challenged and supported.
7. Having the highest expectations that every pupil will make sustained academic and personal progress.
8. Covering a class in the absence of the class teacher.
9. Being well organised and flexible with high expectations of attainment, achievement and behaviour.
10. Having a drive to make a difference to the education of all pupils.
11. Exhibiting excellent communication skills and evidence of continued professional development.
