An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Matron to join the Digestive Disease Care Group. The post will be mainly across both Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital covering the Acute and Elective Surgical wards and Acute Gastroenterology. In addition the successful applicant will be working with the team to support, manage and oversee the opening of the new Allam Digestive Diseases centre at Castle Hill.
The post holder must be able to travel across the group to provide cross cover at NLAG if required. We are looking for a compassionate leader who is supportive and visionary who will be able to work with the senior leadership team and must be committed to ensure the delivery of the highest quality of patient care and service delivery.

Under the guidance, supervision and direction of the Nurse Director of the Care Group, the post-holder is the line manager and professional/clinical leader of the nurses/midwives and support staff within their sphere of responsibility. This will be through the Charge Nurses/Sisters, Specialist Nurses/Midwives and Teaching/Practice Development staff in the first instance.
The post-holder will provide professional advice, leadership and support to speciality teams and service line colleagues to ensure the delivery of the highest quality of patient care and service delivery.
