Express Recruitment are proud to be supporting a well-established software company in the East Midlands. Due to an ever-growing UK client base and a recent global acquisition, our client is seeking the addition of a Control Systems Engineer to join their talented team. The ideal candidate will be a fully trained Industrial Electrical Engineer with exposure to PLCs and automation systems, who is looking for the opportunity to train as a Control Systems Engineer.

The working hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am-4:00pm, although some flexibility is on offer, depending on individual circumstances. Due to the nature of the role, occasional UK travel to various client sites is required as well as some weekend work on occasions.
In return, you receive a generous salary package between £32,000 to £40,000 plus an annual performance-related bonus, generous holiday allowance, 4% pension, sick pay, flexible working hours, paid overtime, and childcare vouchers.
Responsibilities:
* Learn how to design and program PLC and SCADA software from scratch using bespoke in-house software
* Assist with PLC testing prior to test approval
* Compile accurate fault reports and ensure they are documented correctly
* Assist with plant layout designs and interpreting schematic diagrams
* Assist with the design of control panels, structural machine designs, and material handling equipment
* Liaise closely with mechanical design and project management departments regarding design specification projects
* Consult directly with customers to fully understand their bespoke specifications
* Assist with electrical design projects from initial concept to completion
* Read and understand engineering drawings, general arrangement drawings, and schematic diagrams
* Work to complete various projects within designated deadlines
Skills & Experience:
* Degree/HND/HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar field
* Demonstrable fault-finding experience with the likes of Allen Bradley, Omron, Mitsubishi, and Siemens S7 PLCs
* Experience working with control panels, material handling equipment, and automated plant machinery
* Excellent communicative skills, both written and verbally
* Full UK Driving License essential
