Our client is looking for an experienced Senior/Head Veterinary Surgeon to join their dedicated team at Dartford.
This RCVS accredited, established practice has easy access to Dartford town centre and London. The clinic is also located opposite a busy retail park, making it convenient for lunches or a quick shop before or after work. There is free parking available. Upon arriving at the practice, you will be greeted by a light and open waiting room. Adjoining this are 3 dedicated consult rooms that lead directly to the open plan preparation area. The separate theatre is well equipped and provides a dedicated space for sterile procedures. The practice also has a designated space for diagnostic imagery & dentistry. Facilities include access to ultrasound, multiparameter, ECG, in-house lab (including microscope), digital x-ray, dentistry & doppler.
The existing nursing team has 75 years of combined experience, making them well equipped to support their vets on a day-to-day basis, as well as in the delivery of certain schedule 3 procedures. The nurses and reception team collectively work together to support vets and clients with a passion for delivering gold standard patient/client care. The highly experienced practice principal is passionate about developing the team and is fully committed to supporting them in achieving both their personal and professional aspirations within the first opinion sector. There is a super supportive team consisting of 3 Veterinary Surgeons, 3 RVNs (they are looking for a 4th), 1 SVN, 1 ANA, and 7 other supporting team members. They also regularly have visiting specialists in Orthopaedics, Cardiology, and Imaging.
The team wants to help you settle in; therefore, as standard, you will have a dedicated induction program where you are assigned a work buddy/mentor. They offer a nice mixture of surgery and 15-minute consultations with time available to work up complex cases. They are in a position to offer a higher volume of surgery time if this is of interest to you.
The client is open to suggestions of working days/hours to suit you, for example, hours around school runs or condensing your hours to get more days off, or just working during term time. They do not have set hours per week and are open to discussion. However, the normal working week is 40 hours over 4 days with a protected day off and 1 in 3 Saturday mornings. There is no OOH.
Salary up to £80,000 DOE plus, up to £5,000 Relocation Allowance, Visa Sponsorship (if required), and a £5,000 Welcome Bonus. There is also a fully furnished flat available on-site if desired to make a move to the area as easy as possible.
