Year 6 Intervention Teacher
Tradewind are recruiting for an interesting position for a strong Year 6 Intervention Teacher to work with a small group of 10 students, providing academic support to help them achieve expected levels in English and Maths. The role is full-time and would start ASAP, running through till the end of the academic year. Interviews are happening this week and shortlisting for the position is actively taking place.
This is at a large Primary School in Chatham that caters to children in an economically deprived catchment area, hence the school has a strong ethos of nurture and opportunity for their pupils. The staff are well supported, and relationships with parents are strong, with student welfare and outcomes at the heart of everything they do. The school is graded Good by Ofsted in 2023 and has ample parking on the streets surrounding the school, as well as easy access via public transport.
The Role
* Planning and delivering the Primary Curriculum in KS2
* Delivering a bespoke curriculum to a cohort of 10 children in Year 6 with varied abilities.
* Responsibility for ensuring your cohort is supported and challenged appropriately with the work set.
* Managing behaviour within the classroom effectively.
* Liaising with Parents/Guardians on the progress and/or potential development areas of students.
Requirements
* Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in the UK
* Experience teaching the UK Primary Curriculum KS2; time as an Intervention Teacher is highly desirable but not essential.
* Hold an enhanced DBS (DBS on the update service is highly desirable)
* Have the right to work in the UK.
