Shape the Electrical Architecture of Tomorrow’s Defence Systems
Are you aSystems Architect,Systems Engineer, orElectrical Engineerwith an interest in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)? This is your opportunity to take a lead role in shaping the electrical systems architecture of next-generation defence technology.
We're looking for someone to guide MBSE activities within a multi-disciplinary Electrical Architecture team, ensuring coherence and integration across complex systems and sub-systems. Whether you come from a broad systems background or are more specialised in electronics, this role will give you the platform to grow and influence cutting-edge product development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead MBSE work to ensure consistent, coherent electrical architecture across product development.
2. Translate system-level requirements into sub-system specifications and interface definitions.
3. Manage interface control documents (ICDs) and system integration.
4. Develop and maintain electrical architecture models using MBSE tools.
5. Support verification, analysis, and evidence gathering throughout the development lifecycle.
6. Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams across hardware, software, firmware, RF, and safety domains.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Experience inSystems Architecture,Systems Engineering, orElectrical Engineering.
2. Familiarity withModel-Based Systems Engineering(MBSE).
3. Experience withrequirements capture, decomposition, and management(e.g., using DOORS).
4. Strong understanding of system function and performance trade-offs.
5. Ability to think holistically across disciplines and manage technical risks.
6. Experience across thefull engineering lifecycleis highly desirable.
7. Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, and interpersonal.
