Are you ready to make a real difference in your community? Our Corporate Communications department is looking for an exceptional individual to take on management responsibilities within our Operational Communications team.
This role places you at the heart of Thames Valley Police's mission to protect our communities through building trust, preventing crime, and supporting victims. You will drive impactful campaigns, provide strategic advice planning for critical moments and shape how we communicate with our communities, partners and beyond.
You will bring significant crisis communications expertise and campaign management, underpinned by good evaluation and a proven ability to align strategic communications to organisational outcomes. Your experience includes crafting and delivering communications on operational matters, coupled with a strong understanding of the evolving digital landscape and the power of owned media.
You will excel at stakeholder management; fostering strong partnerships across policing, agencies and the wider community, along with building effective internal relationships at all levels. Your plans will ensure the force is ready, and as a member of our management team you'll lead a talented team with purpose; championing best practice within a culture of innovation and continuous learning.

Minimum Requirements: The successful candidate will be educated to degree level, and/or a professional qualification in communications, public relations, media or equivalent experience and have proven experience of working in a communications management role across internal and external communications with a proven track record of delivering impactful communications and with strong crisis communications skills.
You will have strong interpersonal communication skills along with political awareness and have the ability to build effective relationships in order to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
