Finance & Business Analyst

37.5 hours per week (8.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday)
Up to £30k negotiable depending on experience
Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and confident Finance & Business Analyst to join our finance team. This role presents excellent opportunities for career progression and personal growth within a fast-growing manufacturing start-up. Main Responsibilities:
1. Business Analytics & Reporting including developing dashboards and reports on key production, waste and sales data. Perform further analysis to identify trends and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
2. Costing & Pricing including development and maintenance of complex costing models to support pricing strategies, detailed cost analysis to ensure profitability optimisation and periodically updating standard costings.
3. Financial Planning & Analysis including supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis process and performing variance analysis, providing explanations for deviations from budget.
4. Accounting & Other Month End Responsibilities including reconciliations, journal entries, supporting internal controls and assist with preparation of financial and management reports.
Qualifications & Skills Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
2. Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
3. Good interpersonal skills are essential; the ideal candidate will be required to communicate regularly with personnel at all levels in the company.
4. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently on multiple projects/tasks at one time.
5. Understanding of financial statements, costing principles, and budgeting/forecasting.
6. Proficiency in Excel and experience with BI tools and ERP systems is a big plus.
7. Ability to build effective working relations within all areas of the business, as well as deal with suppliers and customers in a professional manner.
