Job Title: Delivery Coordinator
Location: York
Salary: up to £26,000 + 25% shift allowance and excellent benefits
This role is working on a 24/7 shift pattern (days and nights), average 42 hours per week, with 8 weeks holiday per year.
Position Summary

A Day in the Life of a Delivery Coordinator
As a team, we provide a transport solution to support the needs of our customers, factories, copackers and some of our suppliers across Nestle. You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment dealing with multiple stakeholders both internal and external to Nestlé, driving a problem-solving mentality within the Transport Team.
You’ll provide support to the Transport team in order to deliver a seamless, proactive service for our 24/7 operation. The department is responsible for the successful delivery of our products including inbound and outbound deliveries as well as work undertaken for and by 3rd parties.
Key responsibilities:
1. Liaising with hauliers to ensure timely collection of loads from factories and distribution centres and on time deliveries to customers, both external and internal.
2. Liaising with hauliers to ensure an adequate supply of trailers into the system in order to prevent delays in loading.
3. Keeping the Customer Team, or the Customers themselves, fully aware of any issues affecting timely deliveries.
4. Formulate and instigate a plan whenever a load is refused at its destination to reduce overall delays and to ensure all stock is returned to a suitable location.
5. Plan trailers back to base in line with servicing and MOT requirements.
What will make you successful
Ideally, you’ll come from a Supply Chain and/or Logistics background, but we are open to developing your knowledge. It’s important that you are used to working to tight deadlines and have the ability to work with multiple stakeholders and prioritise your work.
