The Opportunity
The focus of the role will be to support the wider HR team in delivering a first-class service to the Firm. The postholder will support a number of project areas and support communication of HR initiatives to teams.
This role would suit someone with previous HR administrative experience, looking to take the next step in their HR career.
This broad role will incorporate a full range of HR support across the business. The position is Bath based with a mix of home working also available; travel to our other offices will also be required on an agreed basis.
The postholder will report to the HR Director, with day-to-day supervision from the Senior Employee Relations Adviser.

Key Responsibilities
General duties include, but are not limited to:
* Providing first-line advice on HR policies and procedures, escalating to the Senior Employee Relations Advisor where appropriate;
* Assisting with the design and delivery of manager best practice training;
* Collating and publishing the weekly HR update newsletter;
* Leading on the updating and implementation of firm-wide policies and ensuring that these are kept up to date;
* Supporting the development and annual review of HR policies and procedures;
* To work closely with the HR Data Analyst in order to interpret key people management information and support Heads of Team in utilising the data to drive improvements;
* Regular attendance at team meetings firmwide to filter down HR related information and updates;
* Support and take the lead as appropriate on low-level day to day employee relations issues;
* Providing employee wellbeing support and signposting, linked with the wellbeing strategy;
* Working closely with the HR and Knowledge & Learning Managers in relation to recruitment and learning and development priorities;
* Leading on SK’s absence management processes, including recording of absence, return to work interviews, monitoring absence trigger points, and making occupational health referrals where necessary;
* Conduct exit interviews and one-month reviews.
* As part of the HR team, ensuring the timely delivery of the firm’s performance review and bonus processes, working closely with the Learning & Development Manager;
* Ensuring confidentiality and discretion when dealing with confidential data;
* Completing the administration in relation to employee changes and letters;
Requirements
Essential
* The successful candidate must have a professional manner and excellent communication skills, with the ability to build successful relationships at all levels. This will include feeling comfortable speaking to people at all levels and speaking in front of large groups to provide regular HR updates.
* They must be highly organised and be able to demonstrate a pro-active approach to their work and have the ability to work autonomously when required.
* They should enjoy working in a busy team environment and have a flexible and co-operative nature; as well as excellent stakeholder management skills.
* The successful candidate will have previous HR Administrator/Co-ordinator experience.
* Excellent organisational, attention to detail and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage a varied and demanding workload often to tight deadlines.
* Client focused and ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.
* Team player with a flexible and willing attitude.
* Required Proficient IT Skills – Microsoft Office.
Desirable
* A CIPD qualification would be desirable for the role.
* Ideally have at least two years’ experience of working in administrative role within HR.
* Experience of working with a document management system (iManage) and HR Database (Cascade) would be an advantage, although full in-house training will be provided.
