Enterprise Data & Information Architect

The objective of this role is to ensure that capabilities exist to maximise the value of data and information at Yorkshire Water. The role will ensure that technology, processes, people and data are aligned to deliver and support the strategic and operational needs of the business where data and information are required.
Where you fit in:
As our Enterprise Data & Information Architect you will:
* Create & maintain YW's Data & Information Strategy in alignment with business objectives & outcome requirements.
* Align the data & information strategy with the broader Tech and business strategies and objectives.
* Governance of the design and delivery of technical data & information capabilities to support and deliver required business outcomes in accordance with the relevant strategy.
* Governance of the design and delivery of data and information process and people capabilities to support and deliver required business outcomes in accordance with the relevant strategy, including the assurance of architectural artefacts, policies and processes used across Tech and the business.
* Ensuring alignment between Tech and business architecture departments and teams in the approach, design and use of data and information.
* Provide support, guidance and assurance to Tech and wider business teams development and delivery of strategy, process, and policy.
* Govern and assure the selection and appointment of data and information partner skills (via direct recruitment or partner frameworks) to ensure alignment with overarching strategy and delivery needs.
* Design, develop & manage the enterprise data models to support the objectives of the enterprise and data strategies.
* Actively support data enabled change throughout the business, collaborating with other senior leaders to ensure change is understood and adopted.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
* Proven track record of data & information strategy design and delivery, from innovation & ideas, through to analytics and decision making.
* Previous experience of operating in an Enterprise Architecture role, leading change through strategy design and development.
* Resilient and practical - Yorkshire Water is an established utility with proactive and reactive demands; the role will require presence in both aspects of that operation.
* Proven track record of large-scale Technology & Data solution design and delivery, preferably in the utilities sector or asset management sector, undertaking a senior architectural role.
* Proven track record of large-scale data and information solution design and delivery, preferably in the utilities sector or asset management sector, undertaking a senior architectural role.
* Detailed knowledge of data integration architectures and technologies.
* Detailed understanding of conceptual and logical data models and their creations and use in a large organisation.
* Detailed understanding of enterprise and functional modelling.
* Understanding of architectural roles, domains, methodologies and design strategies.
You will also benefit from having:
* DMBOK, TOGAF or equivalent certification in Enterprise and Solutions Architecture.
* Knowledge of SAP, SAP HANA, Microsoft Business Intelligence tools.
* Experience of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, DaaS.
* Microsoft Azure & Data Bricks.
* SCADA, RTS, OSI PI.
* MDM tooling.
* Understanding of Water Utility processes, including Clean & Wastewater treatment, Distribution Management and Leakage, Sewerage, Energy Generation and Sludge Management.
* Experience of AI solutions.
We embrace a flexible working model, where our hybrid setup typically requires an average of 1-2 days in the office per week. This could be slightly more when collaborative efforts, training or meeting deadlines demand it. For those who prefer to work on-site, our office is open Monday-Friday during working hours.
