Medway Public Health are looking to recruit a part time, temporary contract, Collaboration and Pathways manager who understands the importance of organisations, agencies and the public working together to improve the health of Medway’s residents. You will work with commissioned services, parents, and other agencies to develop a system approach within the Start for Life / Family Hub programme. You will have expertise in child development, early years and/or education. We are particularly keen to hear from you if you have leadership experience in a Family Hub delivering the Start for Life Programme, can demonstrate a strong understanding of home learning environments, and have a track record of consulting children and parents in co-design and delivery. You will use your team building skills to bring together a broad range of people; this will include parents, children, service providers, youth services, community groups, social care, charities and the family hub teams. You will use your knowledge and experience to identify other people who have a part to play reducing health inequalities and improving outcomes for children. This will be a challenging role where you will need to understand other people’s world views, you will be an optimist who can work through frustrations, you will think the best of system partners, and you can constantly ask, “is this the very best we can do with the resources we have available”. Where the answer is no you will ensure system leaders and commissioners have sufficient information to bring about necessary changes. We can be flexible on contracted hours but would expect you to commit between 22 and 30 hours per week; this will be negotiated at the interview stage. The contract is temporary, for a fixed period ending on 28 November 2025; we would be supportive of a secondment opportunity if that were agreeable to your current employer.
