We have an exciting opportunity for a Public Health Service Lead to join our Team!
This is a permanent role with hybrid working, and a salary of £51,744 - £56,588 full-time equivalent per annum. We welcome applicants who have relevant experience and expertise outside LAs as well as those who do and who may be looking for experience in a different LA. The position is full-time or part-time (minimum 0.8 FTE) and can be undertaken as a secondment.

The Role:
The RBWM is looking for an experienced person to work within their multidisciplinary team to provide strategic leadership and vision for partnership working in Public Health across the Council and wider partners such as Frimley ICS. This is an opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead the strategic direction of the designated portfolio areas, reporting into the Consultant Public Health for Children, Young People, Families and Public Mental Health.
Your role will involve:
* Provide the strategic leadership and vision for partnership working across the council and wider partners to provide influence on the public health principles and approaches to health and wellbeing.
* Support the Consultant Public Health in developing and implementing long term strategic public health plans for public mental health, and children, young people and families in the Borough.
* Develop, coordinate and partner with internal and external colleagues to commission and deliver statutory services and health improvement programmes, using public health intelligence including the JSNA to prioritise and deliver agreed shared outcomes.
* Support the Director and Deputy Director of Public Health with the day-to-day operations of the Public Health team including deputising and coordinating public health advice and support to other Council departments and external partners.
* Be a fully engaged and influential member of the Public Health Senior Management Team and demonstrate flexibility in the delivery of the portfolio.
