Job Description
As Powertrain Certification Engineer your main responsibilities are:
* Support the Functional Managers with South Korea and USA certification, including timely coordination, reporting, and success of on-time certification.
* Coordinate, report, document, and deliver data as required by milestones and gateway deliverables.
* Supervise emissions testing in the UK or abroad; experience in vehicle diagnostics is beneficial.
* Engage in cross-functional dialogue with internal and external customers and suppliers, requiring effective communication skills and a drive for results.
* Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, a pro-active approach, and the ability to handle large volumes of technical data and complex issues.
Qualifications / Skills needed
* Sound engineering understanding of vehicle engineering, encompassing Powertrain, Body, Chassis, and Electrical engineering.
* Experience in Emissions Type Approval and/or Certification and/or legislation.
* Ability to create, monitor, and deliver an effective test plan, including resource and time allocation.
* Korean language skills are useful but not mandatory.
* Familiarity with the Automotive Industry (Delivery Processes, Gateway reporting).
* Prior Project Management experience in an Automotive Environment is useful but not essential.
* A degree or relevant experience and qualifications in Engineering.
* Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project).
* Excellent communication skills, resilience, and focus to achieve the end goal.
