Property Manager looks after Birmingham Health Innovation Campus, a world leading healthcare technologies hub. You will be overseeing a team of Hosts and Facilities Team Members, so Leadership skills and previous Property Management experience will be important for this role.
What we’re looking for:
We are keen to receive applications from experienced and proactive candidates who are skilled in maintaining meticulous records and ensuring buildings remain compliant through effective Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM). Experience of compliance in a lab setting would be desirable, but not essential. The ideal candidate will be a role model for their team, collaborating with multiple stakeholders to achieve operational excellence while continuously striving to improve standards. With a relentless focus on customer service, organisational skills and an eye for detail, you will lead by example, inspiring your team to deliver outstanding results with a bias for action.
You’ll be both hands-on and strategic, empowering your team to execute your vision while ensuring compliance and proactively managing risk. A natural leader and coach, you will take ownership of challenges, drive solutions, and mentor your team to reach their full potential. Your communication, adaptability and networking skills will enable you to make a lasting impact within our communities, embedding initiatives that enhance both our buildings and the experiences of those who use them.
Job purpose:
As a Property Manager your role focuses on maintaining our building(s) to be compliant and safe, ensuring our spaces are presented in tip top shape to elevate our customers experience. You will play a vital role in supporting the Area Operations Manager, taking charge of facilities operations and customer relationships whilst making sure the Bruntwood standards are upheld on a daily basis.
What you do:
1. You will ensure Birmingham Health & Innovation Campus (BHIC) is fully compliant with all aspects of environmental, health & safety requirements and that our teams and customers operate in a safe environment.
2. You will be fully accountable for our customers' experience and develop meaningful relationships so that we can offer personalised solutions for their needs and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
3. Take a high-level of personal accountability for the customer journey, ensuring that we make things simple and reduce hassle so our customers can focus on what really matters - allowing them to grow and flourish.
4. Coordinate and manage subcontractor works to ensure risks are managed and customer impact minimised.
5. Liaise with our central functions and being a key contact and conduit between these functions and BHIC.
6. You will lead a small team of Facilities Team Members and Hosts.
7. Coach, develop and mentor your team so that they fully embrace their role in creating a vibrant, purposeful customer experience and connected community.
8. Supporting the Area Operations Manager on operational standards audit completion, with a responsibility for all results being uploaded onto the system with actions assigned to stakeholders.
9. Community events support including risk planning, set up/down, team organisation and event support - working with the Community Engagement Manager.
10. Supporting the Area Operations Manager and the Commercial Account Manager with managing customer relationships.
11. Develop a one team approach with support teams - Community, Technical, Risk, Cubic Works, Unify and Asset Management to ensure we have a consistent and collaborative approach to getting things done.
