Job Title: M&E Quantity Surveyor Salary: Up to £85,000 package Location: Central London Office with 2 days per week working from home. Job Responsibilities: We are currently recruiting M&E Quantity Surveyors with an M&E commercial construction focus. You will oversee and manage all surveying activities related to M&E packages, working closely with design, planning and construction teams. Your key responsibilities will include: Ensuring site supervisory staff understand the project's scope of works and inclusions in tender packages Preparing tender packages for M&E subcontract works Preparing documents required for the procurement of subcontractors Preparing contracts and documents for inclusion in tender packages Ensuring a positive month-on-month cash position and meeting or exceeding forecasted project margins Preparing forecasts and reporting on financial status and cash flow Administering subcontracts, including payments and claims, and submitting progress claims to the client Maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants Administering the head contract, including assessing completed works and identifying time extension needs Key criteria to be successful: The ideal candidate will have a degree in quantity surveying or equivalent and a background in construction quantity surveying. Key skills and experience include: Knowledge of the M&E market, including labour and resource costs and M&E products Background in construction or building with the ability to read drawings and plans Experience in M&E quantity surveying and financial knowledge of construction costs Understanding of contracts, tender processes and legal issues Experience in procurement, commercial governance, risk and opportunity management, and cost forecasting and reporting Experience working for a Main Contractor or MEP Subcontractor is ideal. Experience in administering M&E subcontract accounts to final agreement, with a successful track record of closing these accounts with clients Highly motivated with strong communication and negotiation skills Knowledge of tender processes and experience handling contracts and legal issues Company Culture & Perks: Our Client are passionate about delivering exceptional projects that leave a lasting positive legacy.
