Business Development Manager – Freight – £40K – £47K – London
Business Development Manager required for a Sunday Times top 250, family owned Freight Forwarder.
The Freight Forwarder has multiple UK sites – this role will be based from their specialist London Air Cargo facility in West London.
This Business Development Manager role would suit a talented freight sales professional with a solid grounding in Freight operations or a sales hunter with experience leading a small sales team.
You manage your own diary, day and week!
The Package:
* Circa £40K – £47K
* Uncapped bonus

The Role:
* To develop and maintain effective business relationships with new and existing clients.
* To undertake presentations for long-term business, produce and present tenders and quotations for business.
* To offer a high standard of customer service to internal and external customers, by demonstrating a professional, helpful and positive manner.
* To generate and follow up sales leads, visiting potential and existing customers to obtain new business at reasonable profit.
* To build and maintain effective business relationships with overseas correspondents, exchanging information, undertaking joint business and supporting sales visits to and from them in order to develop sales.
* Provide accurate information to internal operations staff in order that all relevant administration can be completed efficiently.
* Work with Line Managers to promote specific markets and generate business, through a coordinated programme of targeted joint calls.
* Responsible for current developments in the market and information on competitors.
