Business Development Manager - Freight - £40K - £47K - London
Business Development Manager required for a Sunday Times top 250, family-owned Freight Forwarder.
The Freight Forwarder has multiple UK sites - this role will be based from their specialist London Air Cargo facility in West London.
This Business Development Manager role would suit a talented freight sales professional with a solid grounding in Freight operations or a sales hunter with experience leading a small sales team.
You manage your own diary, day, and week!
The Package:
1. Circa £40K - £47K
2. Uncapped bonus
3. Company Car or allowance

The Role:
1. To develop and maintain effective business relationships with new and existing clients.
2. To undertake presentations for long-term business, produce and present tenders and quotations for business.
3. To offer a high standard of customer service to internal and external customers, by demonstrating a professional, helpful, and positive manner.
4. To generate and follow up sales leads, visiting potential and existing customers to obtain new business at reasonable profit.
5. To build and maintain effective business relationships with overseas correspondents, exchanging information, undertaking joint business, and supporting sales visits to and from them in order to develop sales.
6. Provide accurate information to internal operations staff in order that all relevant administration can be completed efficiently.
7. Work with Line Managers to promote specific markets and generate business, through a coordinated programme of targeted joint calls.
8. Responsible for current developments in the market and information on competitors.
