The team supports the entire company, including operational teams, in ensuring that Mott MacDonald Bentley work safely, avoid environmental harm, safeguard the occupational health of our employees and deliver quality projects to our clients. The role will be based in the North West, with travel across this region but also occasional national travel. As a SHEQ Advisor you’ll work on projects that enhance our environment and communities as part of an area of the business that is different to all other units in that we work across a large number of clients across different sectors. Today we have live contracts across several clients and this will offer you a wide variety of projects. The role of a SHEQ Advisor includes: Visiting construction sites observing inspections of operations from a SHEQ perspective Liaising with internal and external partners to understand the needs of the company, our clients and the wider industry Providing support to SHEQ and Regional Operational teams by collating and reporting on accumulated Health Safety and Environmental data Supporting the provision of Occupational Health Support to employees and liaising with external Occupational Health Providers as required Analysing data from incident reports to formulate strategies to avoid harm What you’ll need: CSCS NEBOSH General and/or NEBOSH Construction A basic understanding of construction principles and practices Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the North West of the UK and on occasion, travel to sites nationally What’s in it for you: Alongside our significant training and development investment, bespoke progression plan and support to achieve professional chartership, we offer a wide range of financial, lifestyle, health and wellbeing benefits that you can tailor to your needs.
