Lufthansa Technik are a global leading provider of maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for the civil aviation industry. About the role As a People Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our employees, while also providing payroll enquiries and administrative support. You will work closely with the People team, Finance department, and external payroll providers to handle payroll-related queries and compliance. This is an onsite role based at our office in Hayes, London, with flexibility in working hours. Duties and Responsibilities Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, including overtime, bonuses, and other adjustments. Maintain and update payroll and HR databases, ensuring all employee records are accurate and up-to-date. Ensure payroll processing adheres to legal standards, tax requirements, and company policies. Act as the first point of contact for employee payroll-related queries, providing prompt and accurate information. Assist the People team with administrative tasks, such as maintaining employee records, on boarding paperwork, and updating HR systems. Prepare payroll reports and assist with month-end payroll reconciliation. Collaborate with external payroll providers to ensure smooth payroll processing and resolve any discrepancies. Support the administration of employee benefits, including pensions, sick leave, and other entitlements. Pension set up and support for employees.Education and Qualifications Qualification in accounting and or finance required and Experience in business administration, or human resources can be advantageous Payroll-specific certifications (desirable). ADP payroll experience (desirable)Experience and Knowledge 3 years' experience in a similar role. Understanding of payroll processes, UK tax laws, and compliance requirements. Strong attention to detail, excellent numerical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage confidential information. Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office (Excel, Word). Understanding and experience with salary sacrifice schemes or similar. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time capacity. Personal Qualities Managing multiple payroll schedules and deadlines requires excellent time management and organisation. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve payroll discrepancies, errors, and queries.
