Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer - FMCG Industry
We are a leading and highly reputable FMCG company searching for a skilled Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, expertise in welding would be an advantage. This is an exceptional opportunity to join our dynamic team and contribute to the seamless operation of our manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on a variety of production equipment.
* Conduct mechanical and electrical inspections to identify and resolve issues proactively.
* Carry out planned preventive maintenance tasks to optimize machine reliability and minimize downtime.
* Utilize welding skills to repair or fabricate necessary components.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth coordination of maintenance activities.
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
* Comply with health and safety regulations to create a safe working environment.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer within the FMCG industry is essential
* Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults
* Familiarity with PLC systems Electrical and Mechanical Systems including Invertor Drives, PLC’s, PSU’s, Conveyors, Multi-head weighers and an understanding of electrical schematics
* Strong knowledge of electrical distribution and control systems, fully conversant reading all engineering drawings both electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
* Ideally IEE qualified to 17/18th edition wiring Regulations
* fault-finding and testing (I/O) is a must
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures
* Effective communication and teamwork abilities
* Relevant engineering qualifications or certifications are preferred
Desirable:
* Strong expertise in welding, including MIG, TIG, or ARC welding techniques.
* Previous experience programming and fault-finding on PLC’s, Invertor Drive Controls, HMI’s and other logic systems.
Flexibility required for shifts 6.00 am – 14.00 pm, 14.00 pm – 10.00 pm and 7.00 – 15.30 pm - Monday - Friday
