JOB SUMMARY
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and compassionate Deputy Care Manager to join our team and assist in management of our services on a day-to-day basis.
Supporting the Operations Manager, the Deputy Care Manager will manage the office team to ensure we maintain our reputation as one of York’s leading home care providers and we continue to increase our service delivery in the York and surrounding areas.
The Deputy Care Manager will play a key role in operational management, compliance, staff supervision, recruitment and client care, ensuring our clients receive respectful, safe, and tailored support that adheres to our Outstanding CQC rating.

We work very closely with our clients, their families and health care professionals to deliver the highest standard of care and support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Support
* Supervise the office team to ensure high-quality service delivery.
* Provide guidance to care staff and manage the office team of coordinators and supervisors.
* Assist with the development and implementation of new care services and participate in on-call duties.
* Collaborate on operational planning and strategies for growth.
Care Planning
* Undertake assessments, create care plans, and ensure they are regularly updated.
Regulatory Compliance
* Ensure compliance with Outstanding CQC standards, safeguarding protocols, and health and safety policies.
Recruitment and Retention
* Support the recruitment team to ensure there is a growing and supported team of care professionals and coordinate staff training.
* Conduct performance reviews, practice safe HR techniques and provide constructive feedback.
Communication and Crisis Management
* Act as a key point of contact for clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
* Manage incidents, address complaints, and maintain accurate records.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience supervising or managing a care service
* Level 4 Health and Social Care NVQ (or similar subject)
* Proven experience managing a team of colleagues
* Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines
* Ability to respond to innovation and the development of new services
* Full driving licence and access to own vehicle
