DWP Digital offers fulfilling careers for people who want to use their skills to make a difference.
We’re part of the UK’s biggest government department, administering the State Pension and a range of working age, disability, and ill health benefits to around 22 million claimants and customers. People who use our services are among some of the most vulnerable in our society.
Our product managers are part of a community where we share our experiences and problems and show what we are working on.
We have 4 roles we are recruiting for: -
We are transforming our current Appeals service through addressing pain points, simplifying the process for agents, reducing the reliance on legacy IT/small systems and tools to create an improved service for all users. We need an appeals service that uses the right information and evidence to enable the right outcomes for users.
The GOV.UK and Signposting team are responsible for ensuring people can understand and easily find the support they are entitled to on GOV.UK. We design the user journey as well as manage and maintain all DWP content on GOV.UK. A Product Manager is required to deliver valuable outcomes that meet user needs whilst working closely with teams across the organisation and within GDS.
As part of Digital, Channels Customer Communication and Media Services (CCAMS) is responsible for the management of documentation such as letters, forms and evidence received by our customers. We have an exciting roadmap of future Digital deliverables and require a Product Manager to join us, who will be working within a multi-disciplinary team to shape the vision, strategy and roadmap for our CCAMS products.
In Retirement Services, we are responsible for running and transforming digital service that ensure people over state pension age can plan for and secure all the support they need to live a life without unnecessary hardship. We are a key part of DWP's modernisation story with commitments to deliver end-to-end service transformation across the support we provide to citizens and staff.
We are looking for product managers who can prioritise key decisions using data and insight to drive development and improvement but equally who can lead the team effectively and with confidence. An essential ask is the ability to be able to flex and pivot to the needs of the user.
The role will be responsible for making evidenced based strategic and tactical product decisions and making key priority calls. You will be actively involved in developing the product strategy, owning the product roadmap, and communicating product success to stakeholders but also defend controversial decisions about your product. You will also have experience of product management techniques.
While you will work independently, you’ll also be part of a more complex area with the support of a more senior Product Manager.
Additionally, you’ll be a part of our Product Community of Practice, where Product Managers across DWP Digital come together to share learning, discuss their development needs, gain support, and solve for common problems.
