We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Shared Lives Service to lead and grow our CQC ‘Good’ rated Shared Lives Services. As the registered manager, you will be responsible for the day to day operations within the service. As an inspiring leader you will support and develop the team and ensure that the Shared Lives Carers provide quality support to individuals who access the service.
You will be expected to proactively develop the service through raising the awareness of the Shared Lives Service locally and regionally and drive the recruitment and development of Shared Lives Carers.

Key responsibilities include:
* Providing a high quality shared lives service that supports people who draw on care and support through the scheme to live as independently as possible, and achieve positive outcomes, within a family based setting
* Providing leadership to ensure shared lives social workers and carers are clear about their duties and responsibilities and have the support they need to carry out their roles safely and effectively in line with Southend Care policies and procedures.
* Promoting the rights of each person the scheme supports and keeping their wishes at the centre of their care and support.
* Managing the safety and quality of the scheme in line with legislative and regulatory requirements, sector best practice and organisational policy and procedures
* In conjunction with the Council’s Quality Improvement Tean and Commissioning leads, develop a process of continued quality improvement and growth of the shared lives service
It is essential that you possess a Degree in Social Work, Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent, knowledge of adult social care legislation and Care Quality Commission requirements, and the ethos of Shared Lives.
