About the Role
As the technical leader, you will provide hands-on guidance, drive the technical roadmap, and mentor a growing team to deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software. This role demands a deep understanding of Python, Django, clean architecture principles, and the ability to design and manage data-intensive applications.
Responsibilities
1. Research, create proofs of concept and introduce new technologies to the team.
2. Have very deep knowledge about the whole technology stack of the system.
3. Own the production operation and monitoring of the system and are aware of its SLAs.
4. Evolve the architecture to support future requirements and defines its SLAs.
5. Mentor others to accelerate their career growth and encourage them to participate.
6. Adjust the team processes, listening to feedback and guiding the team through the changes.
7. Make an impact not only on his/her team but also on other teams.
Qualifications
1. Python Expertise:
1. 6+ years of hands-on Python development experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
2. Advanced knowledge of the Django framework and its ecosystem.
2. Clean Architecture / Application level:
1. Proven experience implementing and enforcing clean architecture principles and design patterns.
2. Experience decomposing monolithic applications into modular, scalable microservices.
3. Experience with event-driven architectures or message queues like RabbitMQ or Kafka.
3. Data Management:
1. Strong experience with relational databases including PostgreSQL, including designing schemas, query optimization, and handling large datasets.
2. Proven ability to build and maintain data pipelines for data-intensive applications.
4. AWS & DevOps:
1. Solid understanding of AWS cloud services.
2. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
Preferred Skills:
1. Familiarity with other backend frameworks or languages (e.g., Flask, FastAPI).
2. Familiarity with front-end technologies to support cross-functional collaboration.
3. Knowledge of SCRUM methodology and its operation.
