We're seeking a future team member for the role of Network Manager (Vice President, J-grade) to join our Global Network Management team. This role is located in Manchester, UK - hybrid In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: The Global Network Management team manages BNY's network of Direct Custody & Sub-Custodian relationships across more than 100 markets, delivering market insights to clients, selecting, and appointing new relationships, monitoring regulatory compliance of the existing network and advocating with market players for international best practices and market changes. Amongst its major duties, the Market Manager will be responsible for: Sub-custodian due-diligence & oversight: Manage and execute the annual due diligence and oversight of our custody, DR and cash correspondent networks. Contract negotiation & ongoing oversight: Responsible for Appointments, Terminations and fee negotiations with Sub-Custodians and market infrastructures. Responsible for supporting / executing ongoing assessments, due diligence & day-to-day engagement. Market ownership and development: End to end ownership of individual markets to include: understanding of market nuances for securities and cash, assessment of gaps and opportunities in BNY's ability to service clients, Responsible for ensuring that all changes to local market providers are implemented in accordance with appropriate risk and governance requirements. Market Advocacy: identify opportunities to contribute to market advocacy to ensure the voice of the international investor community are heard and represented through local market partners, Sub-custodians / local market infrastructure. Crisis management: Accountable for management of local market crisis events, from identification through to resolution. Responsible for communicating and coordinating activities across internal stakeholders and partners & issuing external notifications as needed. Change management: Responsible for supporting strategic projects including digitisation initiatives through to implementation. To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Appropriate work experience, preferably banking industry experience in global custody network management, operations, or client service management. Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Team player with a flexible attitude and ability to make extensive contributions to the overall success of the team.
