Highly Specialist Physiotherapist: Older People's Mental Health Service
Part time 15 hours, flexible working will be considered.
We are looking for a passionate, motivated, dynamic and experienced therapist to join our team to lead clinical therapy service delivery across Older People's Mental Health Service. The post holder will lead and role model high quality assessment; evidence based and person centred intervention, advice, education, information and support to service users, their carers, team members and other health and care professionals involved in the care of older people with serious mental illness (including dementia, depression, anxiety, psychosis, bipolar spectrum disorder etc.).

Main duties of the job
To work as a member of our Older People's Mental Health Service to develop and deliver highly specialist clinical therapeutic assessment and management care pathways for individuals accessing Older People's Mental Health Services to enable more older people to remain independent for longer, manage their own health needs and lead healthy, active lives.
To lead the OPMH therapy team and support the AHP lead for OPMH in the wider AHP forum.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy
* Health Professions Council registration
* Registered to work within the UK
* Completion of accredited courses relevant to mental health
* To have or to be working towards an MSc or equivalent
Training
* Broad based pre-registration clinical experience of physical and mental health care
* Evidence of attending post graduate CPD courses.
* Training in safe moving and handling
* Clinical Educator training
* Evidence of training related to learning disabilities/mental health and recovery.
* Evidence of higher level or advanced study eg, MSc or Advanced Clinical Practice or prepared to undertake this.
* Moving and Handling Regulations and their practical application in clinical practice.
Experience
* Experience working in mental health or older peoples environment.
* Participation in the supervision of junior staff, support workers and/or physiotherapy students on clinical placement
* Awareness of mental health care and complex presentations
* Experience in research
* Member of relevant special interest group
* Experience in developing a service.
* Experience in a team lead role
