Tenth Revolution Group have a brilliant new opportunity for an experienced Payroll/Contractor Finance Admin professional as a Contractor Payroll Team Leader working within Central Services, in our sociable global HQ in Newcastle (hybrid)
As Contractor Payroll Team Leader you will manage an integral part of our Business Support back office function, responsible for processing multiple payrolls for our contractors (temporary IT professionals) working with external clients. You will be expected to work to regular deadlines and must be able to use your own initiative and seek to continually improve processes. You will also engage with Sales Consultants and Clients both internally and externally at every level to assist them with queries to process contractors pay and/or invoice our clients.

This role is best suited to someone who is experience in payroll/financial admin (contractor payrolls preferred) with a positive, proactive persona due to the fast paced nature of the role. You'll never be bored but 'change is business as usual' so adaptability is key!
This rewarding role leadership role currently has 1 direct report. A Principal Payroll Admin who will look after a small team of junior-senior level staff/systems beneath you, in terms of hierarchy. You don't need to have led large departments but do need to be comfortable processing high volume varied payrolls (ideally involving some contractor/temporary workers previously)
A Recruitment (agency/inhouse) is desirable but not essential to be considered.
You will specialise in the external payroll of IT Contractors our Recruitment (Sales) staff place with external clients. However you may be required to support/cover the sister Billing team from time to time. For example, during annual leave or sickness. If you don't currently hold a leadership title but have managed/mentored/monitored multiple staff and are looking for that official perm step up, you're welcome to be considered for the this unique leadership opportunity within TRG.
We're a 5 min walk from Newcastle Central Station/Monument metro & local bus links. During training/probation period based on site then working hybrid (split 2-3 days home)
As Contractor Payroll Team Leader you will be responsible for:
* Oversee & assist Contractor Payroll (Timesheet/Billing ad hoc)
* Ensuring 100% accurate entry & maintenance of data
* Daily/Weekly revenue reporting to Sales where required
* Act as first point of escalation on team to resolve issues
* Provide continued process improvement ideas/initiative
* Raising Contract specific sales invoices & ensuring client receipts
* Raise payrolls & expenses in line with SOP’s & Payroll calendars
* Key POC escalation for Contractor/Client queries/Customer Care
* Timely follow ups tasks via Service Hub, Email, Phone, Face to Face
* Manage the recruitment & onboarding of all new team members
* Conduct internal/external escalation meetings via e-mail, calls, F2F
* Act as a credible deputy in your direct/senior line manager’s absence
* Manage team/workload daily inc: HR, Disciplinaries etc independently
* Run team meetings as appropriate.
Skills and experience we are looking for:
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word
* Running external Payroll for contractors/temporary staff (essential)
* Processing multiple volume contractor payrolls (Agency or inhouse)
* Compliance focused, adhering to GDPR if processing sensitive info
* CRM/ERP systems (Salesforce & Sage beneficial but not required)
* Working with multiple languages/locations (2nd language a plus)

You will be analytical with an ambition to problem solve and constantly act with professionalism, remaining confidential at all times. Leading by example to your team & wider business stakeholders you collaborate with (e.g. Sales & Credit Control)
