Job Description:
Up to £390 per week.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef to join a team at the Inpatient Unit in Lincoln, Nettleham Road. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a care home environment, particularly with end-of-life and palliative care patients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and cook meals for up to 11 residents, ensuring all dietary needs and preferences are met.
2. Develop and plan menus that cater to the specific nutritional requirements of residents.
3. Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety in the kitchen.
4. Work closely with healthcare staff to ensure meals support the health and well-being of residents.
5. Manage kitchen inventory and order supplies as needed.
6. Provide a compassionate and understanding approach to residents’ dietary needs.
Shifts:
1. Monday - Friday Days
2. 5 - 6 hour shifts
3. 26 - 30 hours a week
Duration:
Temp - Perm role. Successful candidates will receive a permanent contract.
Requirements:
1. Candidates will require:
2. Experience in the care sector.
3. Experience in a Chef/cook hospitality role.
4. Understanding of dietary needs and restrictions, particularly for end-of-life and palliative care.
5. Strong organisational and time management skills.
6. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
7. Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Certification in Food Safety and Hygiene.
2. Experience in menu planning and nutritional assessment.
Wages:
1. £13.00 per hour basic wage.
2. Bank Holiday at time and a half.
