Maintenance Engineer - Pharmaceutical

Salary: £37.5k plus 5% Bonus, £450 On Call Bonus every 1 in 3 weeks
Hours: 8-4 Mon – Fri

Scope:
My client is a global leading provider and manufacturer of healthcare solutions. Due to growth of the team, they have an opportunity within the Maintenance Team. You will be critical in the assistance to develop essential healthcare supplies to a nationwide customer base.
Responsibilities:
1. Production Checking, ensuring all batch manufacturing records (BMRs) and related production documents are completed prior to Quality Release and all manufactured items have been visually inspected.
2. To ensure the effective and timely Maintenance, Test, Inspection and Repair as necessary for all items of plant and equipment associated with each of the facilities.
3. Responsible for calibration and fault finding on a wide range of engineering plant and equipment including:
o Voltage systems
o Steam raising plant and associated equipment
o Steam sterilizers
o Instrument washers
o Lighting
o Fire detection
o Standby generator building services controls
o Heating and ventilation control systems
4. Undertake condition surveys, evaluating inspection reports and maintenance repairs, across the Estate as directed by management, ensuring compliance with safety standards and procedures.
5. Plan and organise major planned works, service interruptions and other maintenance activities.
6. Co-ordinate work of others, providing practical training work evaluation.
7. Provide support to the Engineering Management on the full range of management duties as well as providing technical advice to other Staff and 3rd Party Contractors.
8. Provide an emergency out of hours service, working a rotating shift pattern covering 365 days a year.
9. Carry out maintenance and repair to building sanitary and water distribution systems in line with HSE guidance.
About You:
1. Completion of recognised and registered CITB or EITB apprenticeship, HNC / HND or higher preferred.
2. Previous experience working on breakdowns and PPM on technical mechanical, steam raising and electrical plant found in a multi-disciplined medical/ healthcare environment.
3. Previous experience of working with decontamination equipment.
4. Experience of working autonomously and managing a high workload.
5. Experience of working to deadlines in a dynamic environment.
6. Working Knowledge of:
o ISO EN93/44/EEC
o ISO EN 13485
o HBN 13
o HTM 01 01 part C (Sterilisers and clean steam generation)
o HTM 01 01 part Washer disinfectors
o HTM 2031 and ACoP L8
7. Good communication skills.
8. Ability to work independently and without supervision.
9. Demonstrated capability to influence / negotiate with others to achieve the required outcome.
10. Support Engineering Manager in delivering the engineering service as well as providing technical advice to other Colleagues and 3rd Party Contractors.
11. Able to work as part of a team and co-ordinate work with other trades.
12. Understands and demonstrates the importance of effective communication with other team members.
13. Integrates well with others to achieve common goals.
