Job Description: We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Design and Technology (DT) Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality DT education, encouraging students to develop their creativity, problem-solving abilities, and technical skills. Key Responsibilities: • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and innovative DT lessons to students of varying abilities. • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to facilitate continuous improvement. • Develop and implement creative teaching strategies to enhance student learning and engagement. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the DT curriculum, including emerging trends and technologies. • Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive teaching environment. • Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events. • Ensure a safe and effective learning environment, including the proper use and maintenance of DT equipment and materials. Requirements: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. • A degree in Design and Technology, Engineering, or a related field. • Proven experience teaching DT at the secondary level. • Strong understanding of the DT curriculum and assessment frameworks. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to inspire and motivate students. • Commitment to continuous professional development.
