The Role
We are currently seeking a Service Engineer to join our expanding team providing specialist support to our customers in the Readymixed Concrete Industry.
The candidate should ideally be based in the Bristol/Newport area or in close proximity to the Severn Crossing. The area to be covered is South/Mid Wales and S. West England.
This is a home-based role, you will be travelling to customers sites on a daily basis, with (occasional) nights out if required.
Full training will be provided - some at our Midlands headquarters, but primarily you will be hands-on with an experienced engineer from our team at our customers sites.
About you
• As a Calibration/Service Engineer your primary role will be to attend Readymixed Concrete production sites to carry out scheduled periodical calibrations of weighing and metering equipment. This will include occasional breakdown cover, maintenance and operational support to our installation team.
• You should be comfortable working on your own, but also in close liaison with the plant operator.
• Applicants should ideally have experience of working within the Readymixed Concrete sector or in a similar field engineering role, some previous experience in electro/mechanical engineering would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
• Day to day Calibration, fault finding and repair of Industrial weighing and metering equipment on Readymixed Concrete batching plants.
• To understand, complete and submit calibration certificates on completion of task.
• To efficiently arrange and manage your own workflow to a monthly schedule provided.
• Be able to overcome onsite issues by using your experience and knowledge.
• Carry out work in a safe and diligent manner, complying with all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• To demonstrate a positive can-do attitude at all times.
Required skills/Experience
• A valid Uk driving License
• Good communication skills – oral and written
• Good engineering sense with a mechanically minded outlook
• Experience of the Readymixed Concrete Industry advantageous but not essential
• Some electrical experience would be advantageous but not essential
• Good basic IT skills (Microsoft Office/Outlook/Excel)

Full-time, Permanent (after a three-month probationary period)
• Salary: £32,000.00 - £37,000.00 per year
