About this opportunity We provide support in several purpose-built extra care schemes across Cumbria and the support is delivered in partnership with the housing providers. We deliver this service across 24 hours, supporting people to maintain their independence and remain in their own homes. In this role you will work in Extra Care Housing schemes across Westmorland and Furness, working closely with the registered manager to ensure a high quality, value for money, and strengths-based service is provided, whilst also supporting with the supervision and engagement of the wider team. You will provide day to day supervision, advice, and support to the team, motivating them to meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency, as well as training them and ensuring all essential learning is completed. We are looking for a strong and encouraging person, who can host team meetings, support with recruitment and retention, and empower staff to achieve their goals. We are looking for someone who can work autonomously, and has strong problem-solving skills, as well as having a real passion to help others. Ideally, you will have experience of supervision of staff who are community based, and you will bring a strong customer focus, with the drive to motivate and develop the team, aiming to deliver a high-quality service. Excellent time management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people, including in distressing or challenging situations, are also important for the role.
