Teaching Assistant SHIRLEY HEATH JUNIOR SCHOOL TERM Fixed Term for the remainder of the academic year 2024-25 (to start January) SALARY Band C £25,992 to £28,624 pro rata HOURS 31.00 hours per week 8.15am – 3.00pm (Tuesday 8.15am – 4.00pm) Term Time only We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to support the class teacher in promoting an environment suitable for the educational and social needs of children at various stages of development, in order to help them attain their potential. The role includes; • Assisting pupils with integration into the normal routine of the classroom. • Supporting pupils within a whole class, group or 1&58;1 setting. • Assisting in the implementation of programmes designed by other professionals such as educational psychologists, and speech and language therapists. • Contributing to the overall ethos, aims and work of the school, working with colleagues to develop a positive learning and working environment. • Supporting and supervising children outside at lunchtimes.
