Let us tell you a bit about the opportunity
To originate and execute commercial mortgage loan applications, aligned to the banks risk appetite and in compliance with the banks policies and procedures.
The role holder will play a significant part in growing the banks lending exposure to good quality commercial real estate business, managing introducer relationships and key accounts In line with the banks values.
The role holder will also support senior management in focussed sales and marketing strategy, regular reviews of commercial products to ensure sales targets and business competitiveness are maintained.

What will your day look like?
You will report into the Head of Business Development, and have responsibility for:
* The delivery of the required volume of new commercial loan business opportunities to ensure the asset balances and targeted financial return are delivered in accordance with annual targets.
* Utilising existing network of borrower, broker and introducer relationships to deliver focussed sales activity to increase adoption levels of Business finance products.
* Engaging introducers through F2F meetings, group presentations including remote webinars and video meetings to promote the company’s profile, products and services to achieve agreed sales goals.
* Completing extensive due diligence on loan applications adopting robust credit assessment skills to recommend the basis on which risk is taken and provide feedback in a timeous manner on assessment outcomes.
* Preparation and presentation to the relative sanctioning authority of high-quality credit papers in a timely manner and consistent with credit risk policy and business line parameters.
* Working collaboratively with support team to on-board new to bank relationships smoothly and in compliance with internal AML/KYC policies and regulatory obligations.
What do we expect from you?
* Ability to work on own initiative, a self-starter, capable of working in a high volume, fast paced environment, maintaining personal motivation, drive and successful performance.
* Experience in the origination and execution of the Commercial Mortgage loans, with knowledge of financing commercial and residential investment loans as well as operating businesses to include but not limited to : PBSA, Healthcare and Hotels.
* The ability to assess complex lending proposals, identify risks and structure/ negotiate debt solutions, aligned to Aldermore risk appetite.
* Proven ability to analyse and interpret financial statements and cash flows
* The ability to prepare high quality lending submissions, ensuring all key risks are identified and mitigated.
* The ability to present new business proposals to senior stakeholders in risk/credit forums
* A good understanding of post approval processes to ensure due diligence is completed as required to facilitate an efficient customer journey and loan completion.
