You’ll be someone who is both comfortable working proactively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO’s partners to help businesses effectively. This challenging and rewarding role as Financial Support Hub Senior Team Leader involves:
Supporting the wider business with Billing, Credit Control, Private Equity and other financial areas of support.
Working alongside the SSC Finance Hub Lead, to ensure work is both allocated and controlled effectively and ensure quality control is maintained.
Embedding a continuous improvement culture through effective monitoring and root cause analysis of errors and omissions.
Uphold high ethical standards and ensuring the team adheres to policies and regulation.
Handling internal queries and building relationships with colleagues and teams across BDO UK.
Leading training and development of the teams and colleagues to ensure we are ‘Helping all succeed’.
Set clear performance expectations, providing regular feedback, and conducting performance reviews.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and development, offering training and growth opportunities.
Be flexible and responsive to changing circumstances and priorities.
Strong people and team management experience.
Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Excel and other MS Office products.
Knowledge of billing and credit control/cash flow/purchase to pay beneficial.
Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and complete tasks with limited supervision.
Willingness to get involved in ad hoc activities with a ‘can do’ attitude.
Ability to use your initiative and take a flexible approach.
